The State government is paying special attention to these institutions. It has sanctioned funds for their development. District Education Officer Madan Mohan is focusing attention on bringing about a sea change in the working of KGGS.
In all 17 KGGS are flooded with full strength. Besides education, the Arepally KGGS management in Machareddy mandal is taking special care to teach the students skills like karate and martial arts to strengthen physic and give a boost to their confidence. As a result the students excelled in the two events in State-level tournaments.
The students told The Hans India that karate and martial arts act as a means of self-defence and protect them from eve-teasers.
The school management said that it has been conducting training classes after noting the interest of students, as the classes would improve their physical and mental health.
Teachers said that they are conducting these classes with the active support extended by the DEO. They expressed happiness over the success achieved by the students and wished them success in their future endeavours.
