BJP offers equitable opportunities to grow politically: Radhakrishnan
BJP offers equitable opportunities to every hardworking party worker to grow in their political career and one should strive to make use of them, suggested Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan.
The Union Minister calls upon the party workers to work with a mission to come to power in 2019 in Telangana
Hanamkonda: BJP offers equitable opportunities to every hardworking party worker to grow in their political career and one should strive to make use of them, suggested Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan.
The Union Minister from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu quoted his political life and that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as examples of what he suggested. He said ‘I was mandal unit secretary 35 years ago, later I become state unit president and now Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Highways, Shipping’.
The same is the case of Prime Minister Modi, who rose to the top from being an ordinary party worker. Anyone with talent and dedication could reach top position in BJP, he noted at Warangal parliament constituency booth-level party workers meeting organised by Warangal Urban district unit on Thursday.
The meeting was presided over by BJP Warangal Urban district president Rao Padma and was attended by an impressive gathering arrived here from across the constituency. The Union Minister told the gathering ‘Now there is a golden opportunity before you, you have 17 MP and 119 MLA seats to be won’.
‘Nothing is impossible if we work hard. After the BJP came to power at Centre in 2014, the party has captured power in 13 states. Now it should be our mission to claim power in Telangana’. Everyone must work with an objective of claiming power in Telangana 2019 elections, he stated.
‘Party at booth level to district level must be strengthened. Make your goals clear and focus to achieve them by making collective efforts. The opportunities of growth awaiting the talented and dedicated workers make use of them,’ Radhakrishnan advised the youth in the party.
The BJP-led NDA government has brought 93 different welfare schemes aiming to benefit the cross section of the society, mainly the downtrodden, poor and women. As the BJP workers it becomes duty every one of you to go into public and explain importance of such scheme and help them make use of them, the Union Minister noted.
Radhakrishnan said BJP has made great contribution in the formation of Telangana State. The party leaders like Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, B Dattatreya, K Laxman and all others fought for the cause at Centre and State level.
‘Hence the party should now fight for its stakes in ruling the State. I wish you should all take it as a challenge and move forward in that direction,’ he added. BJP state president K Laxman accused the TRS government of failing to deliver its election promises. In order to cover up its failures it was trying resorting to vote bank politics by offering 12 per cent reservations to Muslims, he alleged.
It was not enough to implement the reservations with the approval of the State assembly. The Centre has to approve it. The state BJP leadership would make all out efforts to stop Muslim reservations, which would be detrimental to the welfare of the BCs.
Along with all backward class leaders and members serious agitations would be launched, Laxman said.
The Union Minister on the day had community lunch with dalits at Yellenda in Warangal district. The party seniors T Rajeshwar Rao, M Dharma Rao, Ch Janga Reddy, V Jaipal, V Sriramulu G Premender Reddy, P Devaiah and others were present
