Nalgonda: District Collector Gaurav Uppal advised people to take all precautionary measures to avoid fire accidents in summer and call 101 for necessary help in case of any fire accident.
On Thursday, the Collector released the Fire Safety Week poster at fire services office in Nalgonda. Speaking on the occasion, Uppal said National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and fire services were conducting fire safety week from April 14 to 20 to create awareness among people on the importance of fire safety, precautionary measures and functioning of fire-fighting equipment.
He advised the parents to keep children away from the gas cylinders. So also in case of leakage of gas from cylinders, he suggested immediately opening of all windows and doors and switching off power supply in the house.
He suggested people to use ISI mark wires for wiring and electrical appliances to avoid short circuits. District Fire Officer Yagnam Narayana and staff participated.
