Madhukar Reddy’s wife attempts suicide
In a shocking incident, Swati, wife of NRI software engineer Guduru Madhukar Reddy, who was cremated on Tuesday, attempted suicide at her parent’s house at Kothapet on Thursday night by consuming cleaning liquid.
Bhongir: In a shocking incident, Swati, wife of NRI software engineer Guduru Madhukar Reddy, who was cremated on Tuesday, attempted suicide at her parent’s house at Kothapet on Thursday night by consuming cleaning liquid.
Her family members rushed her to a private hospital where her condition was said to be critical. It may be recalled that a few weeks ago 37-year-old Madhukar Reddy had committed suicide at his residence at Seattle in US. When his wife went to attend the funeral of Madhukar at his native place on Tuesday, she was stopped by his relatives and was assaulted.

Swati, who appeared distraught over the harsh treatment meted out to her by her husband’s relatives, on Thursday night consumed bathroom cleaning liquid in a bid to end her life.
Meanwhile, Swati's father accused Madhukar’s kin of driving his daughter to take the extreme step. He expressed that his daughter could be threatened once again if the police failed to take any action against the techie’s parents and kin.
