Kazipet: St. Peter's Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPIPS), Hanamkonda has conducted a free medical camp at House of Joy, Fatima Nagar, Kazipet on Thursday.

About 200 patients were given free medicines. Physiotherapist Dr Ramu Vodithela and Ayurveda physician Dr Puli Anil Kumar have conducted medical tests to the patients and prescribed medicines.

Accordingly, the students of pharmacy along with the staff distributed medicines to the patients. Srinivasa Service Station proprietor BA Srimohan and the DMHO have supplied medicines for free distribution.

The district Congress president N Rajender Reddy visited the camp and donated Rs 5,000 towards purchase and distribution of medicines and food to the patients. The students of St. Peter's have distributed food and fruits to the patients.

The College Principal P Rajasekhar, NSS coordinator Venu Madhav, staff members along with 40 students have organised the free medical camp.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajasekhar said similar camps would be organised very often and thanked the donors and appreciated the students for their service motto.
