Hanamkonda: The district officials should have a humanitarian approach in addressing public issues, suggested Special Chief Secretary to government and Director General Dr MCR HRDI, B P Acharya.

He said an official might not be able to address all the problems at a time. But serving with honest would attract public support and it leads to success in resolving the problems being faced by public and implementing welfare programme.

He spoke at ‘Reorientation and Capacity Building Programme for District HoDs/Officers in the context of Telangana’ organised here on Tuesday by the Centre for Telangana Studies of Dr Marri Chenna Reddy Human Resource Development Institute (Dr MCR HRDI).

Special Representative of Telangana in New Delhi Ramachandru Tejavath suggested the officials to prepare plans to fulfill the needs of people at grassroots level. Care must be taken to take the benefits of welfare programmes to the genuine beneficiaries.

The programme on the day was conducted for Warangal Urban and Rural districts and Jayashanker Bhupalpalli district officials. It was aimed at introducing the officers to the emerging challenges and the intervention strategies to address channeling their energies in achieving ‘Bangaru Telangana’.

Warangal Urban District Collector Prashanth J Patil, Warangal Rural District Collector Amrpali Kata, Bhupalpalli District Collector A Murali have shared their views on the issues related development and delivering welfare schemes.

Centre for Telangana Studies head GoutamPingle spoke on ‘Modernization of Telangana’, Fiscal Cell joint director S Satyanarayana on ‘Economy of Telangana’, former professor of NITW M Panduranga Rao spoke on the topic ‘Water Resources Management’. Several other officials and subject experts have also delivered lectures. The district chief planning officer B Ramchander Rao and others were present.
