Tap connections at 1 for white ration card families
Assistant Collector Rahul Raj said that tap connections would be given for all the families possessing white ration card residing within the Nizamabad Municipal Corporation limits for a nominal price of Rs 1.Â

Addressing the officials of the municipal corporation at the New Ambedkar Bhawan in the city on Tuesday, he said that District Collector Dr Yogitha instructed them to conduct a household survey in the five zones of the city and provide tap connections on a war footing to all the eligible 9162 families residing Below the Poverty Line.
The Assistant Collector directed the divisional engineers, assistant engineers, sanitary workers, linemen and work inspectors to take part in the survey without fail. He told them to identify the illegal tap connections.
He said that tap connections should be provided to those who earn Rs 2 lakh per annum. A copy of the Aadhar card, property tax receipt, white ration should be attached to the application for tap connections.
Speaking on the occasion, the Municipal Commissioner said that on en earlier occasion, when they received 735 applications for tap connections, they gave connections to 594 families. He said that special connections would be given to regularize the illegal connections. Several officials and municipal staff were present on the occasion.
