2 cops booked under SC, ST Atrocities Act

Chivemla: Based on complaint of suspended Vanastalipuram SI Vijay’s mother, Dharavath Bodi, Chivemla police filed a case under SC,ST Atrocities Act against Suryapet Rural CI Praveen Kumar and Penphad SI Mallesh on Thursday
According to Chivemla SI Praveen, Dharavth Bodi has lodged a complaint agianst CI Praveen Kumar and SI Mallesh at Chivemla police station a couple of days ago.
In her complaint, she alleged that while celebrating Durajpally Jatara with her family members, Praveen and Mallesh came to their place they were celebrating and scolded them in the name of caste.
Based on her complaint, an case was filed against both the police officials under on SC,ST Atrocity Act and the case was referred to Suryapet DSP Sunitha for further investigation, he added.
