​Warangal Rural: Warangal Rural District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil has appealed the depositors not to panic over the recent developments in Warangal District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB). He said the developments would not have any impact on the deposits and the bank customers. The money of the bank customers would be safe and the interests of the farmers and bank customers would fully be protected.

It might be noted that the Registrar of Cooperative Societies (RCS) following suspension of the managing committee (Board) of the DCCB in view of complaints of mismanagement has appointed the District Collector Prashanth Patil as the official administrator of the bank.

The Collector on Wednesday held a meeting with the bank officials and enquired about the banks’ functioning. He told them to focus on recovery and submit the list of loan defaulters, besides expenditure, accounts and balance sheet.

The Collector said nearly 1.50 lakh persons have accounts in the DCCB across the district. Efforts should be made to encourage them to opt for cashless transactions and ensure seeding their accounts with Aadhaar.
