Hanamkonda: The upcoming public meeting as part of the party’s 16th foundation day celebrations, in Warangal on April 27 has a lot of significance, TRS MP B Vinod Kumar said.

Addressing a press conference at Prakashreddypet, the venue of public meeting, here on Thursday, the MP said that Warangal has always been an epicenter for the Telangana Movement and the public meetings held here, especially in 2003, 2007 and 2010, have sent a message across the country that formation of Telangana was mandatory.

“After achieving Telangana, the April 27 public meeting has again assumed a lot of importance. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will address the people in the State from this very dais what the TRS has achieved and what it wants to do for the people in the days to come,” Vinod said.

It could be an eye opener to Opposition parties, he said, asserting that TRS will be in power for at least another two decades. He advised the Congress leaders to support the developmental activities taken up by the government instead of raising a hue and cry over on each and every issue.

Stating that people in large numbers, especially farmers from across the State to turn to the meeting, he said that party is taking care of all those attending the meeting.

He along with the Civil Supplies Corporation chairman Peddi Sudarshan Reddy, who is entrusted with the responsibility of making the public meeting a huge success, KUDA Chairman Marri Yadav Reddy, Mayor N Narender, senior leaders Gudimalla Ravi Kumar, T Ravinder Rao, N Venkateswarlu and Sahodar Reddy inspected the ongoing arrangements for the public meeting.
