Kazipet: A B Tech, first year student of National Institute of Technology (NIT) allegedly attempted suicide by touching high voltage power line (rail electrification) after climbing on top of a goods train near Fathima Nagar here on Thursday.

According to reports, 19-year-old Hemanth Kumar of Rajasthan, who is studying B Tech civil engineering, attempted suicide by touching the power line.

He sustained 90 per cent burns and being treated at the MGM Hospital in Warangal. His condition is said to be critical, it’s learnt.
