While Kamareddy district is reeling under a heat wave and the ground water resources are depleting at a fast rate, the planted saplings are being watered regularly by the officials at the Collectorate. As a result, they were able to grow a very beautiful garden.

In the premises of the Collectorate, there are 300 varieties of various flowers. Inside the Collectorate, there is a drip system of irrigation has been installed. The District Collector is showing special interest in developing the garden.

He makes it a point to see to it that senior IAS of IPS officers who pay a visit the Collectorate plant saplings without fail. A board will also be installed near the sapling with the name of the officer who planted it. As a result, the officers feel extremely happy if they find their names on it when they visit the Collectorate again.

The District Collector has appealed to the people to plant at-least one sapling to prevent drastic climatic changes and protect the environment. Otherwise, humanity will suffer in case of environmental disasters. Planting trees should become a social responsibility.
