​Khammam: District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar ordered the officials to speed up development works in the Constituencies and complete them within the prescribed time limit.
The Collector chaired a review meeting with the officials of Engineering department to discuss the works that were going on in the district with the Parliament and Assembly Development funds, Chief Minister special funds and NABARD funds, at his chambers in Collectorate in Khammam on Wednesday.
Addressing the officials, Lokesh Kumar said out of 1,419 works that were sanctioned under Constituency Development Fund (CDF), about 484 works were completed at a cost of Rs 1.91 crore.
Similarly, out of 970 works that are sanctioned under Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS), about 454 works were completed at a cost of Rs 1.55 crore and under SDF, about 109 works were completed out of 299 works that were sanctioned at a cost of Rs 5.9 crore, informed the Collector.
The Collector ordered the officials to complete the remaining works that are sanctioned under Tribal Welfare and Rural Water Supply along with Panchayat Raj departments in prescribed time limit.
Chief Planning Officer Z Ramdas, Additional Director of TS NPDCL Nanda Rathod, Divisional Engineer B Ravi, Assistant Engineer Surendar, Executive Engineer of Panchayat Raj V Narayana Rao, Deputy Executive Engineer I Ramesh and the officials of RWS and Tribal Welfare Departments were also present in the meeting along with others.
