Health department officials had observed the World Malaria Day with theme ‘End Malaria for Good 2030’ in Sircilla on Tuesday. The staff members of District Medical and Health department along with ANMs, ASHA workers, supervisors and Programme Officers held a rally on the occasion from the district government hospital to Gandhi Chowk in the town on the day.

The staff members of District Medical and Health department along with ANMs, ASHA workers, supervisors and Programme Officers held a rally on the occasion from the district government hospital to Gandhi Chowk in the town on the day.
District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar along with the District Medical and Health Officer Dr Ramesh had inaugurated the rally.
Speaking on the occasion, the DH&MO Dr Ramesh said that it is the responsibility of every person to be aware of the deadly disease Malaria and must fight against the troublesome vectors mosquitoes, which are responsible for spreading the disease by keeping their premises neat and clean.
He appealed all the people to observe every Friday as dry day to control breeding of mosquitoes along with keeping their surroundings clean and tidy to prevent the spread of Malaria in the district.
The health department will monitor the density of mosquitoes regularly and organise fogging and spraying of larvicides to keep a check on mosquito increase.
The officials of health department gave a questionnaire to the public to check their awareness about Malaria disease and Collector Krishna Bhaskar and Joint Collector Yasmine Basha presented gifts to the winners.
District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad, Deputy DM&HO K Anand Bhaskar, supervisors Lingaiah and Venkanna, AO Srinivas and HE Balaiah were present along with others.
