Khammam: The Communist Party of India voiced that a fixed salary must be paid to all workers of various working sections apart from providing them job guarantee by enacting a law.

Speaking at a meeting held at Giri Prasad Bhavan in Khammam on Thursday, CPI district executive member and Zilla Parishad co-option member Mohammad Moulana alleged that political parties were implementing their own agenda after coming into power by deceiving people with hollow promises.

He also alleged that both the State and Central governments were implementing anti-peoples policies and trying to dissolve the rights of working sections. And if questioned, the governments were issuing notices and threatening the workers with dire consequences, he alleged.

Moulana demanded the government to implement eight hours work strictly in all organisations and also provide job guarantee to the workers.

“We will initiate a movement against the government if it tries to gag the voices of working sections,” he warned, urging the workers to celebrate the May Day on a very grand note in all parts of the districts by hoisting flags and conducting meetings.

Gudurpadu Sarpanch Siddineni Karnakumar, Rural Mandal MPP Mellacheruvu Lalitha, MPTC Bhaskar Rao, CPI party leaders and others attended the meeting.
