People told to be cautious about Heat wave in Khammam
District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar appealed to the people to be cautious about the prevailing severe heat conditions as the mercury is set to 46 degrees Celsius in coming up days.
Khammam: District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar appealed to the people to be cautious about the prevailing severe heat conditions as the mercury is set to 46 degrees Celsius in coming up days.
The Collector urged the people to take certain preventive steps like carrying an umbrella, wearing white clothes, caps, consuming buttermilk with salt, glucose water to protect themselves from sunstrokes.
“If the persons are affected with sunstroke, their body must be wiped with wet cloth until the body temperature is brought to 101 degrees Fahrenheit and if anyone complains illness, they must be immediately shifted to nearby hospital for proper treatment,” advised the District Collector.
He asked the people to restrain themselves from eating sweets and foods that are cooked in lot of oil. He asked parents to not to allow their children to play out from 10 am to 4 pm.
