Karimnagar: Former PCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao should explain to the people of the State whether he did justice to any one section of the society during the last three years of his rule and then go to the TRS public meeting in Warangal.

In an open letter to the Chief Minister, which was released to the press by TPCC official spokesperson Regulapati Ramya Rao here on Thursday, Ponnala lashed out at KCR for behaving like an autocrat and monarch after becoming the Chief Minister.

Chandrashekar Rao was destroying democracy and reviving feudalism in Telangana State, he lamented. Ponnala accused the Chief Minister of going back on the tall promises that he made during the time of 2014 elections and fooling the people by making false promises again.

The Chief Minister promised ‘Bangaru Telangana’ but was unable to realise it. He alleged that the TRS was conducting the public meeting in Warangal as the Chief Minister became jittery as people were fed up with the TRS government.

Coming down heavily on Chandrashekar Rao for making false allegations against the Congress, which was responsible for the formation of Telangana State, Ramya Rao said the people of the State would teach a bitter lesson to the TRS in the 2019 general elections for failing to fulfill the promises.
