Sircilla villages bag national award
Gopalraopalli and Kasbekatkur villages of Lingallapalli mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district bagged the Central government’s Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sashaktikaran Puraskar. The award will be given for village panchayats for implementing innovative and developmental schemes in villages.

Union Minister Narendra Singh Thomar presented the award to Gopalraopalli village sarpanch Pasireddy Ramreddy and Kasbekatkur village sarpanch Ponnam Manjula during Panchayat Raj Day celebrations at Lucknow of Uttar Pradesh on April 24.
Both the sarpanches met the District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar at the Collectorate here on Thursday. The Collector appreciated the sarpanches for bringing national-level recognition to the district by winning the award. He requested them to continue their good work in future also and develop the villages in all sectors.
District Revenue Officer Shyam Lal Prasad, Assistant Project Director of District Rural and Development of Agency Madan Mohan and District Public Relation Officer Mamindla Dasharatham were also present.
