​Palvancha: A man was severely injured after he was attacked by a bear while collecting tendu leaves at Mallaram forest area in Palvancha mandal on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Varsa Ravi Babu of Mallaram village.
The incident occurred when a bear suddenly attacked Ravi Babu and other tribals plucking tendu leaves. The locals came to the rescue of Ravi Babu on hearing his screams and chased the bear away. Later, he was shifted to Kothagudem Government Hospital in an ambulance for treatment.
