Prepare DPRs to develop main roads, Dy CM K Srihari tells officials
Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari directed the officials to prepare detailed project reports (DPRs) for the development of main roads under GWMC limits.
Hanamkonda: Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari directed the officials to prepare detailed project reports (DPRs) for the development of main roads under GWMC limits.
He told the officials to start the works immediately for the comprehensive development of Kazipet junction to KUC junction and Public Gardens to Mulug cross roads. The Deputy CM held a meeting with Warangal Urban District Collector Amrapali Kata and Municipal Commissioner Shruti Ojha here on Thursday to review the road development works.
Besides widening the roads, steps must be taken to construct drains, ducks, footpaths and cycle paths on either side of the roads. Rs 44 crores were already released by the government towards the developmental works and the works should be executed on war-footing basis to lessen the traffic congestion in the city.
Care should be taken to complete the works by next rainy season. Srihari reminded that the Chief Minister during his last week’s visit to the city has also suggested preparing the DPRs for the roads development of roads.
Similarly, since the survey for outer ring road (ORR) on the outskirts of the city was completed, budget proposals and DPR should be prepared for the purpose. Proposals should also be prepared for a ROB parallel to Fatima Nagar ROB, the Deputy CM said.
