Three others also became victims of honeybees attack and they were shifted to local government hospital for treatment

​Bhupalpalli: A government veterinary doctor was killed as he was bitten by a swarm of honeybees at Nagarampalli village of Mulug Ghanpur mandal in the district on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Chintalapudi Mallesh (40). The incident took place while he was going to administer vaccination to sheep and distribute loan cheques to sheep growers at the village.

According to the sources, when he reached the village outskirts honeybees attacked him biting him all over his body.

He left his two wheeler on which he was travelling and ran into the bushes, but the bees hunted him and causing him to die on the spot due anaphylactic shock, a life-threatening allergic reaction caused by honeybees bite.

A passerby P Sammaiah and two others were also become victims of honeybees attack and they were shifted to local government hospital for treatment.

On learning news, the local Sub-Inspector K Praveen Kumar reached the spot and found the veterinary doctor dead.

His body was shifted to Mulug community health centre for post-mortem. The deceased doctor belongs to Narmetta in Jangaon district and lives in Hanamkonda.

Former chief whip G Venkata Ramana Reddy, several other Congress leaders, animal husbandry joint director Paramjyothi and other officials visited the dead body of the veterinary doctor and paid homage.
