TSRTC Vajra services launched; buses to run between Warangal, Hyderabad

​Hanamkonda: TSRTC Warangal Region Manager T Surya Kiran has on Friday flagged off a rally of newly launched mini-AC bus services, which would be run between Warangal and Hyderabad.

The bus services called ‘Vajra- mini A/C service’, the first cashless bus service in India was launched by the Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari on Thursday. A rally which was taken up as part of route approval passed through the designated routes in the city.

Speaking to presspersons on the occasion, Surya Kiran informed that there would be no ground bookings and the passengers intending to travel in Vajra buses have to download TSRTC App, which has been developed specifically to operate mini-AC bus services and by logging into www.tsrtconline.in.

Seats could be booked 30 minutes prior to commencement of each service and about 60 trips would be operated between Warangal and Hyderabad. The buses would be operated at a frequency of one service for every 20 minutes.

Since the buses are being equipped with GPS the passengers can track the live running status of the services. The sitting capacity of each bus will be 21 and the fare per head was fixed to be Rs 300 for elders and for children the fare would be Rs 275.

There were 81 pickup and drop points in Warangal and 121 pickup and drop points in Hyderabad. The services would be operated like cab like service reaching out to passengers at their door step, the RM said while appealing the passengers to make use of the services.

Similarly, Vajra buses with 21 seats capacity would also be given on hire for marriage parties and those going on excursions. The hire rates slab begin at Rs 6,800 with 8-hours duration with 200 kilometres distance and for 24-hour slab with 280 kilometres Rs 14,600 would be charged.
