Colour bedsheets in Telangana govt hospitals
Following the decision to introduce colour bedsheets in the government hospitals, Kothagudem MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao handed over colour bed sheets to the staff of the area hospital here on Friday.

The MLA said the new system would prevent the spread of infection since they would be changed every day. One day it would be pink bedsheets and the next day it would be white, he added.
Dark blue bedsheets would be used in Emergency division and intensive care units, whereas light blue bedsheets in the doctors’ restrooms.
DM&HO Dr Dayananda Swamy said the colour bed sheets would be handed over to the all the 29 primary health centres in the district.
The staff has been given instructions to change the bedsheets regularly and in case of dereliction of duty severe action would be initiated, he added.
