Eamcet held, thousands attend in Nalgonda
TS Eamcet-2017, conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University- Hyderabad, was held on a peaceful note in Nalgonda, Suryapet and Yadadri districts on Friday. While the engineering entrance was conducted from 10 am to 1 pm, medical entrance was conducted from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
​Nalgonda: TS Eamcet-2017, conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University- Hyderabad, was held on a peaceful note in Nalgonda, Suryapet and Yadadri districts on Friday. While the engineering entrance was conducted from 10 am to 1 pm, medical entrance was conducted from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm.
Engineering entrance was conducted in Nalgonda at 11 centres. Out of 5,503 candidates, 5,307 attended the exam while the remaining absented themselves. In Yadadri, the test was conducted at four centres, where 1,827 candidates took the test while 109 remained absent.
Similarly in Suryapet, the entrance test was conducted at six centres. Of the 3,020 registered candidates, 2,922 attended the test and the remaining 98 were absent. Similarly, medical entrance was conducted in Nalgonda at seven centres.
Out of 3,563 candidates, 3,438 were present for the test. In Yadadri, the test was conducted at two centres. Out of 908 candidates, 874 appeared for the test while remaining 34 stayed away.
In Suryapet, the entrance test was conducted at four centres, of the 1,506 candidates, 1,426 took the test. Tight police security was arranged at all exam centres to avoid any untoward incidents during the exam.
