Expedite Mission Kakatiya works, Kadiyam Srihari to officials
The Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari directed the Engineers of Irrigation Department to prepare a plan to place the district on top by implementing the Mission Kakatiya Project (MKP) perfectly and transparently in the united Warangal district.

Srihari, at Collectorate in Warangal on Thursday, chaired a review meeting on progress of Mission Kakatiya Project. Tribal Welfare Minister Ajmeera Chandulal and Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gadela Padma were also present.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy CM said that as many as 1,242 tanks are restored (repaired) out of the allotted 1,267 at a cost of Rs 215.34 crores during the first phase of the project and only 384 tanks are restored out of the allotted 1,300 tanks in the second phase.
Restoration of tanks, which were not completed in the second phase, can be completed in the third phase by June 30, he said to engineers.
Permission is given to restore about 757 tanks during the third phase of MKP out of which tenders are invited for restoring of 716 tanks and clearance is given to 431 tanks.
Process for restoration works of about 325 tanks are under progress; for the remaining tanks, grounding will be completed by June 25 and works have to be completed by June 30.
By coordinating with each other and reviewing on the progress of works, the Collectors of five districts have to solve the problems and have to strive for successful implementation of the MKP in the united Warangal District, said the Deputy
Chief Minister.
The Warangal Urban District Collector Amrapali Kata, Warangal Rural District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil, Superintending Engineer of Irrigation Department Srinivas Reddy and the Executive Engineers of Five Districts were present along with other officials.
