Led by the Commissioner of Police, as many as 200 police personnel conducted cordon and search operation at Rajivnagar Colony of Manakondur in Karimnagar on Monday.

Interacting with the locals, the Commissioner said that they are conducting cordon and search operations in various suspicious places under the Commissionerate limits to keep check on crime and to prevent anti-social activities.

About 21 CCTV cameras would be installed at various locations in Manakodur mandal, out of which two will be installed in Rajivnagar Colony for maintaining law and order.

Kamalasan Reddy suggested the people to bring to their notice immediately if any untoward incidents occur in their surroundings. The cops have seized about 30 two wheelers and 13 autos, which do not have proper documents along with gutka packets worth Rs 8,000 during the cordon and search operations in Rajivnagar Colony.

Karimnagar Rural Assistant Commissioner of Police V Tirupati, Thimmapur Circle Inspector Karunakar Rao, Choppadandi Circle Inspector C H Ramesh were present along with other police personnel in cordon and search operations.
