Karimnagar: Democratic Student Union (DSU) district in-charge Janardhan demanded the government take action against private junior and degree colleges in Karimnagar, which taking up admissions before the commencement of academic year.

Speaking at DSU’s district general body meeting at Satavahana University here on Wednesday, Janardhan said that a few colleges are violating the rules and luring parents and students with fee concessions if they reserve their seat earlier.

Some other colleges are reportedly cheating the parents that there will be no tuition fee if they reserve their seat in advance. But after joining the college, they are collecting tuition fee from the helpless parents, he added.

Some of the junior colleges were not issuing TCs and Memos to those students, who were not taking admissions in degree colleges that were attached to their colleges, he pointed out.

Several students were being trapped by the cheap tricks of private colleges as the government had failed to create awareness among the students on admissions into degree colleges, he criticised. He criticised that the State government was not taking any action against such colleges.

He urged both parents and students not to get attracted to elusive and false offers given by private junior and degree colleges by taking hasty decisions, otherwise they have to suffer a lot in future, he warned.

DSU district president Naresh, secretary Ganesh, DSU Satavahana University unit president Rajashekar and secretary Prakash and district committee members Soujanya, Suresh, Lavanya, Kavitha, Sai Krishna, Uday and Srikanth were also present along with others.
