Warangal: Tribal Welfare Minister A Chandulal has called for a concerted effort among all stakeholders in ensuring the fruits of welfare activities implemented by the State government.

Speaking at the Zilla Parishad general body meeting presided over by ZP Chairperson Gaddala Padma here on Tuesday, he told all the five district collectors of erstwhile Warangal district to focus on developmental works especially Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya.

Mahabubabad ZPTC and Congress Floor Leader B Venkateshwarlu urged the Minister to ensure funds to ZPTC members so that they could take up developmental works in their respective areas.

Responding to ZP vice-chairman Chettupally Muralidhar’s allegations, Warangal Urban and Rural collectors Amrapali Kata and Prashanth J Patil assured to look into the matter of mining irregularities.

The Minister said that the government would fill the vacant posts in health department soon.Reviewing the education department affairs, Chandulal commended Jangaon Collector A Sridevasena and Amrapali for clinching 3rd and 4th positions in the State in the SSC results.

ZP Chairperson said that the general body has approved 29,673 works under MGNREGS at an estimated cost of Rs 269 crore. The meeting also approved transfer of nine road works of panchayat raj to roads and buildings department.

Warangal MP Pasunuri Dayakar, Mahabubabad MP A Sitaram Naik and Station Ghanpur MLA T Rajaiah were among others who spoke. Mahabubabad Collector Preeti Meena, Jayashankar-Bhupalpally Collector A Murali and ZP CEO S Vijayagopal were among others present.
