On Wednesday, on the occasion of World Hypertension Day, Indian Medical Association (IMA) in association with Walkers Association of Nalgonda conducted an awareness programme on blood pressure.

Launching the programme, the RDO advised people to maintain their cool while handling taxing situations and performing their duties. He further advised to reduce the usage of salt to maximum extent to overcome the hypertension.

Nalgonda IMA president Vasantha Kumari advised people to be health conscious and consult doctors whenever they feel uneasy. Walkers Association president Bandaru Prasad stated that regular exercise and walking relives from all sort of pressures and illness.

As part of the programme, doctors checked the blood pressure of walkers and denizens who attended the programme. Doctors of IMA participated and rendered their services.
