Hanamkonda: Predicting elections in 2018, the Telangana Telugu Desam Party functionaries told their cadres to take on the TRS government by going to the masses.

Addressing party-workers at Mini-Mahanadu of Warangal Urban and Rural districts organised here on Wednesday, national general secretary Revuri Prakash Reddy has said that the TRS government had not fulfilled even a single promise in the last three years.

“The TRS government has been surviving merely on publicity rather than on its performance. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had failed on all fronts — be it in implementing welfare schemes or fulfilling his election promises,” Reddy said. To keep its failures under the wraps, the TRS government trying every trick to hoodwink the people, he said.

It’s time to expose the TRS failures, Reddy said, appealing to cadres to reach out the masses before the next elections that likely to happen in 2018. “No one in the State – be it farmers or unemployed youth – everyone is unhappy with the TRS ruling,” he said, pointing to the TRS public meeting held on April 27, which he says was a failure.

The TRS is losing its ground, State general secretary Eega Mallesham said, referring to the Khammam market yard incident in which chilli farmers jailed and handcuffed.

Instead of doling out Rs 4,000 per acre for the purchase of fertilisers, the government should ensure remunerative price to farmers’ produce, he said. He alleged that KCR has provided employment to all his family members, but left the jobless youth in the State to their fate.

Meanwhile, the TDP cadres unanimously proposed Eega Mallesham and Gannoju Srinivasa Chary as the presidents of Warangal Urban and Warangal Rural districts respectively. It’s learnt that these names will be announced officially during the TDP Mahanadu later this month.

State observer Ganta Ramulu, GWMC president Kakke Saraiah, Ghanpur and Palakurthy coordinaters Thallapally Jayapal and Jatoth Indira, senior leaders Gattu Prasad Babu, Pullur Ashok, Mansoor Hussaian, Bhaskula Eeswer, Hanamkonda Sambaiah, Sriramula Suresh, Margam Sarangam, Md. Raheem, Kampa Vinod, Vadnala Narender, Elugu Venkateswer, Jilukara Veeraswamy, Bochu Paramanandam, Ramanna Goud, Bangaru Babu and Burra Sadanandam were among others present.
