Officials told to celebrate Telangana Formation Day on grand note
The Telangana State Formation Day on June 2 must be celebrated at mandal, divisions and district-levels across the State on a grand scale, the Tourism Minister Chandu Lal directed the officials.

He held a video conference from Hyderabad with the District Collectors along with Government Advisory member Ramanachary, Telangana Cultural Department Chairman Rasamai Balakishan and Tourism Department Secretary Burra Venkatesham on Friday.
Addressing the Collectors, the Minister said that the government had sanctioned Rs10 lakh for each district for celebrating the State Formation Day on a grand note.
He told them to organise cultural activities at every revenue division along with paying rich tributes to the statue of Telangana Martyrs.
“Select 10 members from each field, who excelled in their duties, to present the Award of Excellence along with a cash prize of Rs 51,116, on the occasion of State Formation Day.”
District Collectors, who were interested to organise the international kite festival in January can send proposals, the Tourism Minister suggested.
