​Karimnagar: District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed ordered the Superintendent of District Main Government Hospital to provide better health services to the patients, who visit the hospital.

The Collector inspected the newly constructed building of Mother and Child Health Care Centre at a cost of Rs 20 crores on the premises of District Government Hospital here on Friday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector directed the officials to complete the construction works of the three-story building of Mother and Child Health Care Centre that has been pending for some time, as early as possible.

They were also told to establish fire safety system and take necessary precautions to prevent fire accidents.

Inspecting the Central Oxygen Centre and the works installation of various medical equipments in the Mother and Child Health Care Centre that were under progress, the Collector suggested the health officials to take steps for establishing lay out for the Health Centre along with constructing new walls in the place of old and damaged walls.

The Collector, Sarfaraz Ahmed, discussed with the officials of health and engineering departments for constructing special rooms and toilets for doctors and nurses and gave required suggestions to them after inspecting hospital lab, children and dental wards.

The Hospital Superintendent Suhasini, Rural Medical Officer Dr Sridhar, TSMIC Superintending Engineer Ramesh, Executive Engineer Devendra Kumar and other health officials were present on the occasion.
