Bhadrachalam: Bhadrachalam Assistant Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt has said two Maoists surrendered in Charla of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district.

Addressing the media at Charla police station on Monday, Dutt said the two Maoists—Irpa Laxmanrao and Shyamala Murali—belong to Charla mandal Pusaguppa and Uyyalamadugu villages respectively.

Attracted by Maoists’ songs, they became couriers in 2008, said the ASP. They surrendered at the Charla police station on Monday. Charla Sub-Inspector Satyanarayana was also present.
