Bike riders urged to wear helmets

Bhadrachalam: The police on Monday organised a bike rally at the Ambedkar Centre as part of public awareness campaign to educate bike riders on the safety of wearing helmets.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt flagged off the rally. Addressing the participants, the ASP said the police was keen to educate riders on the need of preventing mishaps.
He explained the impact of a road accident on the family members of those who lost their loved ones in the accident. Dutt added that it was necessary for bike riders to wear helmets to prevent such tragic deaths.
Traffic SI Abbaiah, Town SI P Karunakar, MVI Venkata Pullaiah and Sub-Jailer Ashok Kumar took part in the rally.
