12 buffaloes dead as high voltage cable fell near Nagarkurnool

​Nagarkurnool: Twelve buffaloes have died due to electrocution as a high voltage 11 KV wire fell near Nagarkurnool on Wednesday. According to eye witness, a high voltage 11 KV wire fell on 12 buffalos near Nagarkurnool bus stand killing all the buffalos on the spot.

Anasuyamma lost 10 buffaloes while another farmer, Teppa Rudraiah lost his two buffalos. The total loss was estimated at about Rs 5 lakh. The farmers demanded relief from the government for their loss.

“We have not only lost our livestock but also lost our livelihood due to this incident. We demand the government immediately announce ex-gratia and help us recover our loss due to negligence of the electricity department,” Anasuyamma demanded.
