Chandampeta: Political rivalry between two faction groups of TRS lead to attacks and stone pelting in Kambalapalli of Chandampeta mandal on Tuesday. In the incident, four people suffered grievous injuries and were admitted to Devarakonda government hospital for treatment.

According to SI Satish Kumar, Sarvaiah and Govindaiah, faction leaders, have been trying to gain power in Kambalapalli village. On Tuesday, all of sudden, the two groups clashed and pelted stones on each other during the community meeting for the selection of beneficiaries of Sheep units.

In this incident, Chinabiona Buchaiah, Chinaboina Anjaneyulu, Chandravanka Venkataiah and Gunadala Ramaiah of two groups suffered grave injuries. On information Devarakonda DSP Ravikumar, CI Venkateshwar Reddy along with police force visited the village and filed cases on the leaders of two groups. As a precautionary measure, police arranged pickets at Kambalapalli.

It learnt that, earlier, both Sarvaiah and Govindaiah were affiliated to Congress party and with changing politics in the state and after the formation of Telangana; both the leaders switched their loyalties to TRS for their political existence.
