Bhadradri temple hundi income

Bhadrachalam: The Lord Sitaramachandra Swamy Devestanam here received Rs 54.20 lakh income through hundi for the last 23 days.

The officials opened the hundi on Wednesday in the presence of Executive Officer K Prabhakar Srinivas and counted the amount on the temple premises.

K Prabhakar Srinivas said the hundi income was Rs54,20,937 in cash besides 62 grams of gold and 490 grams of silver. He said the Devastanam was overstaffed making it difficult for the administration and a decision had been taken to remove fourteen outsourcing employees.

The traditional dress code would be implemented from Thursday onwards, the EO said.
