Debt-ridden farmer ends life in Parkal

​Parkal (Warangal Rural): Unable to repay debts, a 65-year-old farmer committed suicide by hanging himself at his farm in Narsakkapally village under Parkal mandal onWednesday. According to reports, Katla Sammi Reddy had taken loans of Rs 3.5 lakh from private financiers for cultivation.

Reddy who owns one acre took another two acres on lease and cultivated red chilli and turmeric. He was disgusted, it’s learnt, after he failed to get remunerative price to his produce and ended his life. He is survived by wife and three sons; one of them is physically challenged.
