​Khammam: The ruling TRS could not keep up its promise of solving all the issues along with beautifying Khammam city, which was given before Khammam City Municipal elections, till date, CPI city secretary S K Jani Miya criticised.

Party city committee meeting was held here at Giri Prasad Bhavan on Wednesday under the leadership of Nune Shashidhar.

Speaking at the meeting, Jani Miya said almost all divisions, including the newly merged ones, already existing ones in the city municipal corporation and those on the city outskirts, are still facing several problems. that number of problems are still pertaining in the divisions which are merged newly in city municipal corporation along with those which are present in city outskirts.

After several undaunted agitations by the CPI, the government had sanctioned Rs 30 lakhs for the development of each division in Khammam city. But out of the 50 divisions present in the city, TRS leaders became the contractors in about 30 divisions and not maintaining quality in the works, he alleged.

He also pointed out that several irregularities were taking place in laying drinking water pipelines under Mission Bhagiratha, roads, drains and canals in divisions, which were merged in the city and in those divisions on the city outskirts.

Despite several complaints, the quality control officials were not in a mood to take any action on the concern persons, he criticised. Jani Miya demanded the government take action on the persons encouraging irregularities and on those contractors, who were not maintaining quality in developmental works. Otherwise the CPI would start militant movements to teach a fitting lesson, he warned.

Party floor leader B J Climont, city wing leaders Mohammad Salaam, Mekala Srinivas Rao, Yanali Sambasiva Reddy and Pagadala Mallesh were also present along with others.
