The gathering at the Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Hanamkonda on Friday was overwrought with anxiety when Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari suddenly collapsed while addressing the public.Â
Recovers after a brief relaxation and resumes his scheduled activities
​Hanamkonda: The gathering at the Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Hanamkonda on Friday was overwrought with anxiety when Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari suddenly collapsed while addressing the public.
The Dy CM, after hoisting the tricolour and receiving the guard of honour, started addressing the gathering. Just half-an-hour into his speech, Kadiyam collapsed due to heat stroke. He was found sweating profusely due to high temperature.
Soon, Kadiyam’s security personnel and Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu rushed to his assistance. He recovered quickly after first aid and continued his address for some time much to the relief of the public and the officials, who were shocked at the incident.
Later, he took rest in his vehicle and witnessed the Formation Day proceedings for some time. Kadiyam later went home for a brief rest and resumed his scheduled activities.
The Deputy CM later launched Rs 5 meal programme introduced by Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation in association with Akshaya Patra Foundation at MGM Hospital in Warangal on the day.
