​Peddapalli: The State government is providing free admissions into Government Junior Colleges to the students, who passed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy informed.

He released the poster of ‘Free Admissions into Inter’ for creating awareness among the people at the Collectorate conference hall here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the in-charge Collector, S Prabhakar Reddy, said the government was taking all measures to develop education system in the State.

As part of that, the government has decided to provide free admissions into Government Junior Colleges to students, who cleared SSC examinations.

In previous year, the government used to collect admission fee from the students along with books and examination fees but from this year the government has decided to give free admissions without collecting any fees from the students, he informed.

The in-charge Collector urged the students, who cleared SSC examinations, to utilise this opportunity and get admissions freely in government Junior colleges present across the district.

District Rural Development Officer Venkateshwarlu, District Nodal Officer Kalpana and District Education Officer Venkateshwar Rao were present along with others.
