Sultanabad: Donations from within the country and from abroad are flooding for the development of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Bhupatipur of Peddapalli district, responding to a report published in The Hans India three months ago, on the plight of the temple.
With the donations received, flag post (dhwajasthambam), idols of Navagrahalu and serpent god were installed in the temple. A water plant was also set up in the temple premises.
Residents of Bhupatipur thanked the newspaper for its concern. Pochamallu, husband of the village sarpanch, said that the villagers were deeply indebted to The Hans India for helping in temple development.
Sri Venkateswara kalyanam was celebrated at the temple on the occasion.
