Five students from Hyderabad made their parents proud by garnering international Rrnk in the SOF Olympiad. Over 42800 schools from 1400 cities across 25 countries participated in the six SOF Olympiad exams during 2016-17 and around 45 lakh students appeared in the Olympiad.

Hyderabad: Five students from Hyderabad made their parents proud by garnering international Rrnk in the SOF Olympiad. Over 42800 schools from 1400 cities across 25 countries participated in the six SOF Olympiad exams during 2016-17 and around 45 lakh students appeared in the Olympiad.

In this Olympiad, Hyderabad came out with flying colours. In International Mathematics Olympiad, International rank 2 was achieved by Aayush Ranjan of Class IV from Chirec International School and got a silver medal and 25,000 cash. In National Cyber Olympiad, International rank 1 was achieved by Harshin Posina of Class V from Foster Billabong High International School and got a gold medal and 50,000 cash. In International Sports Knowledge Olympiad, International rank 2 was bagged by Spoorthi Challa of Class IV from Academic Heights Public School and got a silver medal and 25,000 cash.

In International English Olympiad, International rank 1 was bagged by Kashif Rahiman Shaik of Class V from Foster Billabong High International Schooland got a gold medal and 50,000 cash and International rank 2 was achieved by Esha Santosh of Class VII from Chirec International School and got a silver medal and 25,000 cash.

Science Olympiad Foundation organised a felicitation function to recognize & award the International winning students, teachers and principals of Olympiad exams held during the Academic year 2016-17. During the function, the top 3 SOF international rank holders from classes one to twelve for the 6 Olympiad exams conducted by SOF were awarded. There were total 177 awards.

Winners of The SOF International Company Secretaries Olympiad were awarded Rs One lac each. Awards for State winners are being sent to respective schools to enable schools felicitate winners in assemblies / public functions. The top 10 principals and top 50 teachers from 25 countries whose students put up an exceptional performance at international level were also felicitated with cash awards, mementos & citations.
