The Khammam police held a one-day workshop for its department personnel to create awareness on the use of Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS), here in Khammam on Monday. 

Khammam: The Khammam police held a one-day workshop for its department personnel to create awareness on the use of Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS), here in Khammam on Monday.

The officials at the workshop exclusively spoke on how to upload details of First Investigation Report (FIR), arrests warrants and charge sheet apart from how to tackle various issues in the process of investigation through CCTNS.

Addressing the police men, Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal said as soon as entering the name of a criminal, after nabbing him under any police station, the total information of that person and the crimes he committed across the country (if any) would be displayed on the computer screen, and also the finger prints obtained at the place of crime could be ascertained through CCTNS.

Through CCTNS project, the details of every complaint, missing cases and the photos of unidentified dead bodies could be uploaded to make the investigation process easy, said the top cop, adding that necessary steps would be taken using the modern technology to provide better services to people.

Police Computer Services DSP Nathiniyal, Assistant Commissioners of Police Ismail and Ganesh, Circle Inspector Srinivas Reddy, Police Computer Services Circle Inspector Buchhiramulu and operator Nagababu were present along with others.
