Keeping pace with the increased demand for power, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has decided to produce 2 lakh tonnes of coal per day.
Hyderabad: Keeping pace with the increased demand for power, the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has decided to produce 2 lakh tonnes of coal per day.
At a review meeting at Singareni Bhavan on Tuesday, SCCL Chairman and MD N Sridhar instructed the officials to ensure uninterrupted supply of coal to thermal power stations.
He asked the directors and Area General Managers to put all out efforts to produce sufficient coal stocks to cater the increased requirements of power, during the rainy season.
He also directed them to take suitable precautionary steps, so that the regular productions and dispatches are not hampered by rains.
N Srinivas, Executive Director (Coal Movement), B Bhaskar Rao, Director (P&P) and other officials attended the review meeting.
