​Nalgonda: TJAC Chairman Professor M Kodandaram stated that increase of per capita should not be considered as development. Instead, increase in standard of life and availability of education and health should be taken into consideration for ascertaining true development.

On Wednesday, Kodandaram attended as chief guest to a meeting organised by district CPI unit at Town Hall in Nalgonda. Addressing the gathering, he expressed concern over farmers turning into labourers in the state.

Questioning the government as to why the farmers were not becoming rich in the state, Kodandaram demanded the government to provide all facilities to farmers to help them get good income through their farm produce.

He advised the government to bear hospital and education expenses of farmers and their family members. Stating that the government had failed in providing seeds to farmers, he raised doubts over government’s sanctioning of sheep units to Yadav community.

He suggested people to question the government on poll promises and on implementation of schemes for the progress and development of the state.

CPI leaders Palla Venkat Reddy, Palla Narsimha Reddy, Adi Reddy, Nellikanti Satyam, Former MLA Ujjini Yadagiri Rao and others participated in the programme.
