BJP national executive member N Indrasena Reddy has demanded the state government to give clarity on its reported decision to replace mandal system administration with block system.

Warangal Urban: BJP national executive member N Indrasena Reddy has demanded the state government to give clarity on its reported decision to replace mandal system administration with block system.

He sought to know from the government whether it was going to put in place the old system of block administration or was intending to give any new shape to it.

When administration was run at block level in the past the officials used to have powers, he said and asked whether such powers would be restored to officials.

Speaking to presspersons along with the party Warangal Urban district president Rao Padma in Hanamkonda on Friday he wanted the government to explain how it was going to change the system.

Indrasena Reddy objected the state government’s view that because of the mandal system it was not able to get funds from the centre and its agencies.

“Mandal system was in vogue for the past 30 years. The CM should give an account of instances the state government failed to get the central funds”, he asserted.

“Moreover the central government and its agencies have not yet recognised the new districts in Telangana. Majority of the new district were lacking sufficient strength of staff and officials. A single official was being given in-charge of multiple departments” the BJP leader noted.

Referring to the TRS leaders’ demand to fix MSP to chilli, he said MSP could not be offered to commercial crops. But whenever there was a crisis the centre would come up with market intervention scheme to support farmers.

Indrasena Reddy alleged that due to TRS government’s failure to give assurance to banks to bear four per cent interest on crop loans has been creating trouble to farmers to obtain crop loans from banks, even as the centre was bearing 5 per cent of the total interest of 9 per cent.

‘The government always acts in a deceiving manner in the case of farmers’, he complained.
