The students of Zilla Parishad High School from Marikal mandal in the district excelled in district-level competitions and bagged first and second prizes in elocution and essay-writing competitions respectively, held last week as part of Telangana Formation Day. 

​Mahbubnagar: The students of Zilla Parishad High School from Marikal mandal in the district excelled in district-level competitions and bagged first and second prizes in elocution and essay-writing competitions respectively, held last week as part of Telangana Formation Day.

Motivated by their school teacher, Baswatej, Shakeel Pasha and Bhavani of ZPHS Marikal, brought laurels to their school by winning the competitions that were held on June 2.

While Shakeel Pasha stood first in elocution competition, Baswatej bagged second place. Another student, Bhavani, came second in the essay-writing competition.

“Three of our students bagged district-level prizes in elocution and essay-writing competitions. We have been continuously motivating them and they have brought laurels to our school,” said Balalingaiah, senior school teacher of ZPHS Marikal.

Meanwhile, all the students were presented awards from the hands of District Collector Ronald Rose and Mahbubnagar MLA Srinivas Goud at a function held in Manbubnagar on Tuesday. Madhusudhan Reddy, Head Master and other school staff appreciated the students for their achievement.
