​Parkal: District Collector Prashanth J Patil along with officials of education department and teachers has conducted door to campaign as part of Badi Bata programme in the district on Thursday.

He visited the households at Rayaparthi village of Parkal mandal in the district and appealed the parents to join their children in government schools. He explained them the facilities available at the schools like mid-day meals and others.

The Collector told the parents that with committed efforts by the State government infrastructural facilities have been improved a lot at the government schools. The state run schools were now having digital classes and English medium instruction was also available like private schools.

Several great personalities have achieved great heights in their lives by studying in government schools. The State-run schools have qualified and committed teachers and in recent times several students studied in those institutions have excelled in competitive exams, he said.

Hence the parents should priority to enrol their children in government schools, he urged.Later on the day, the Collector Prashanth Patil along with Parkal MLA Ch Dharma Reddy attended a job mela jointly organised by DRDA, EGMM and DDUGKY.

Speaking at the programme, the Collector informed that about 1,650 job aspirants have registered their names and 1,383 have attended for interviews.

MLA Dharma Reddy has thanked the DRDA officials and the district administration for organising the job mela, which he said would bring out many families from poverty. If a person in a family gets a job entire family would be benefitted, he noted.

Parkal municipal chairman Raja Bhadraiah and others were present.
