Khammam: K Chandrashekar Rao is the only Chief Minister in the country, who thought about the plight of the lonely women and introduced Single Women Pension Scheme in the State for their wellbeing, Information Technology Minister K T Rama Rao praised.

The IT Minister laid foundation stone for various development works at a cost of Rs 356 crore and for construction of new building for DCCB at Gattaiah Centre here in Khammam on Thursday.

Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy along with Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao and Power Minister Jagadish Reddy laid foundation stone for the construction of new bus stand in seven acres land at N S P camp here, at a cost of Rs 25 crore.

K T Rama Rao inaugurated the bronze statue of Subhash Chandra Bose at KIMS hospital. The statue was prepared at a cost of Rs 18 lakh. He also inaugurated Bhakta Ramadasu Kalakshetram, which is modernised at a cost of Rs 1 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, IT Minister KTR said special focus will be laid on developing the Khammam district to make it compete with other cities in the country.

A new bus stand will be constructed in seven acres land at a cost of Rs 25 crores with all modern facilities for the convenience of the passengers in Khammam city, first of its kind in the State.

Various types of development activities were going on at quicker pace in the city with the initiation taken by Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao, the IT Minister stated.

“K Chandrashekar Rao is the only Chief Minister, who said that he will not ask for votes if he fails to give sufficient water for both drinking and irrigation purposes,” he said.

The Opposition parties were trying to stop the development activities that have been going on in the State. Telangana people had forgotten the TDP long back and there is no such party in the State. The Palair constituency elections held recently proves that the party had moved to Amaravathi totally, he quoted.

The Congress during its reign gave Rs 200 as pension but the TRS party is giving a pension of Rs 1,000 to about 40 lakh people across the State by investing Rs 5,000 crores.

Congress leaders, who were involved in various scams, were expecting the same from other parties also. Congress is the care of address for several scams, KTR criticised.

The TRS government has implemented many welfare activities without any dharnas and movements by the peoples’ organisations or any other party. Neither Left nor any other parties exist in the State now. The only party the people are looking at is Pink party, that is Telangana Rashtra Samithi, the IT Minister asserted.
